Yowza.

Where to begin? In the last month, I've gotten so much accomplished!

We booked our DJ, Photographer, Ceremony Musicians, and I've spoken with a florist and will be meeting with a second one on Monday. And...drum roll please...my bridesmaids now have something to wear! Amazing, I know.

We'll start with the dresses first. Anyone who has read this blog knows that I've been obsessed with finding a knee length, yellow dress, that is a realistic price. I've also sort of dogged on David's Bridal in the past, just because they seemed to have such "bridesmaidey" dresses. But as of late, they really picked up the pace and kind of sprinted into the year 2009 to catch up with companies such as J.Crew (my love) who are making modern bridesmaid dresses.

So, long story short, after months of looking online, ordering various dresses from here and there, I ended up finding the dresses at David's of all places.

I went with my Mom a few weeks ago and tried on just about every short yellow dress they had. I narrowed it down to a few, but really had my heart set on this one:

Well, we went today and tried on two of the four dresses I had picked and guess what? They liked this one the best!!! YAY!

It's hard to see the actual color, but it's called Canary. It's cotton, but has a bit of a sheen to it, and it has POCKETS!!! I seriously want to buy one for myself, that's how much I like it. The color is a little lighter than I had been looking for, but it is lovely and it looks so great on everyone! Here it is in green, it's easier to see the shape.

One more photo, just for good measure.

I have the best bridesmaids, seriously. We were in and out of there within 45 minutes! Everyone loved the same dress, and it was almost too good to be true! We all went out to lunch afterward and I gave them each a little valentine for spending their v-day looking for dresses!

Now, next step is finding jewelry and shoes. I'm going to look for some really fun shoes necklaces!

So, mission "bridesmaid dresses" is finally accomplished, and ended up being SO easy and really fun!

Coming soon...save the dates and talk on our vendors!
